Mrs. Powell

My name is Korey Powell, and I teach 5th grade ELA and Social Studies. This is my 5th year working at SCCA and also the 5th year Ms. Gantt and I have been a team! We love working together and being that last stepping stone to prepare our students before they start middle school.

I am from Thomasville but moved here when I married my husband who is from Bainbridge. We have a 1 year old son named Wyatt who is growing up way too fast. I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Education from VSU, and later I also received my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from there as well. I have been teaching 5th grade for 7 years and love how every day brings something new.
